Quiet day

compared to yesterday their is no activity, they most likely still full from the other day :p .
on a better note i have been making new improvements to their future accommodation :)

My quiet Meadow ants colony

I just moved my Meadow ant colony to their new home i will add pictures soon. i have place fruit flies in which are already dead and a droplet of honey.

so far i haven't seem them, but in the wild they live under ground and very rarely come above ground. apparently in captivity they are more active above ground and come out in the darker lights.

Started my Lasius niger colony

I just setted up my new Lasius niger colony one queen 10 workers and large amount of brood. They are very active, i seen 3 workers foraging. i have placed two fruit flies(dead) in with a small droplet of honey.

i came back after a hour of fun business course work to find the two fruit flies and honey droplet to be gone. i placed two more fruit flies and a new small droplet of honey.

i glad that they started foraging as i was starting to worry about the lack of activity for weeks, maybe because of the cold weather but they are in the warm house so not quite sure but they are OK now.
